I made a delicious pavlova with cream and raspberries! I thought I could share the recipe with you guys!
Preperation time: 20mins
Cooking time: 60mins-90mins
What you`ll need:
4 egg whites
225g caster sugar
2 teaspoons white vinegar
300ml whipped cream
About 250-350g raspberries (or other fruit)
What to Do:
Put a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray about 12 inches. Draw a circle about 23cm (9inches) around the tray on the paper. Preheat the oven to 160*C/ 325*F/Gas Mark 3.
Put the egg whites in a bowl and whisk until stiff and cloud-like. Add the sugar, gradually one tablespoonful at a time whilst whisking until stiff and glossy. (If you are brave and are confident hold the bowl over your head and if nothing falls out onto your head then its perfect!) Finally add the vinegar and give the mixture a quick whisk.
Spoon the mixture onto the parchment paper in the circle marked. Place in the pre-heated oven but after 5mins reduce the heat to 150*C/300*F/Gas Mark 2.
Bake the Pavlova for 60mins-90mins, or until firm to the touch and a light beige in colour. Turn off the oven and leave the door open and let the Pavlova rest in it until cold.
Carefully remove Pavlova from the parchment paper and slide onto a serving plate (or any large plate) and top with whipped cream and berries/fruit.
AND the MOST IMPORTANT PART: leave the Pavlova (with cream and berries) in the fridge at least 30mins before serving!
