There are a lot of fashion blogs that I visit on a regular basis. One of them is "J`s Everyday Fashion." She has the cutest ideas and she shows you how to shop on a budget! I was reading through her blog today and saw where she had posted about how to not look cheap when styling and putting together outfits.
I wanted to share a few of her ideas with some of mine. I think these are some great ideas and are really helpful when trying to stay on a budget.
The first thing I want to talk about is shopping brand names. First and foremost I look for quality. It doesnt matter if it comes from Target or Macys, to me quality is the most important aspect of a piece of clothing or an accessory. I cannot tell you how many times I have said "Oh look at that purse it is so cute..." Then I pick it up and feel it and I can just feel how low quality it is. There is nothing more dissapointing than thinking you have found something good only to find out it wasnt worth it!
As much as I hate to admit it though, 9 times out of 10 brand name products will be better quality. There is a reason certain brands have become so popular. BUT dont be discouraged you can shop brand names and still keep it cheap! My favorite stores are: The Limited, The Loft, Ann Taylor, JCrew and Bananna Republic. I wait for sales and shop the sale racks and I have come out of there with some GREAT pieces!
