I will try to explain what I remember from my health class....When we don`t have good fat (in portion, of course) in our body, our body thinks it is going through crisis so it holds on to everything. This slows down the metabolism and tries to conserve the energy. Whatever we eat is therefore, stored into fat to sustain the organs. Also, fat is extremely needed to protect and cushion our body and internal organs. Getting rid of fat can be harmful, such has getting hurt or injury. You are more likely to damage your bones if there is nothing protecting it.
