I don`t know about anyone else, but I seem to find that unless you have long hair, braids and other low hairstyles are very hard to pull off. I find that if I try a braid it always leaves my hair looking lifeless, unattractive and so short! However, in my boredom and laziness today, I think I found a fairly reasonable way of braiding my hair so that it still has volume and doesn`t look lifeless.
To start with I had a bit of natural texture to my hair which I think is key to this hair style. I pulled all the hair to one side and about 3/4 of the way down grabbed 3 random sections and braided down like a normal french braid, leaving it quite loose. Once the braid was secured with an elastic, I pulled each section out to give a looser effect and also leaving it looking a bit messy since I have a few layers. Finally, if any bits were hanging out too much at the front or the back, I secured them with bobby pins to achieve the final look.
Of course, this does still leave my hair quite short, but I think with the bulk of the scarf, especially in winter, this hairstyle is great for those lazy days and especially if you want to limit heat on your hair.
What is your go to braided hairstyle for lazy days?
