Okay youre probably thinking really who wants to know how to make these when you can just go to the strore and buy flour tortillas. But i promise these taste so much better my abuela taught how to make this which is grandma in english. The best way to eat these is with refried beans which is what i reccomend but some people dont like beans or tortillas so im sorry if this article wasnt helpful to you.Heres the recipe.
1. 3 cups of all purpose flour
2.2 teaspoons of baking powder
3.2 teaspoons of salt
4.3/4 cup of vegtable oil
5.3/4 cup of hot water
What to do
1.Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. by hand then add your warm water to make the mix look nice and moist.
2.With your hands or large fork, knead the mix make sure to rub the sides you dont want any flour left out.If you have to add a couple more shots of flour you dont want the dough to stick to your hand.Let it sit for an hour or so VERY IMPORTANT!.
3.Take the dough and pull it apart into 10 to 12 balls flour your rolling area roll each ball with a rolling pin 1/8 inch thickness If you dont have that just use your hands.
4.Place each tortilla on a medium hot cast iron skillet or any skillet cook on each side for 1 to 2 min or untill not doughy any more.
I hope this recipe helps someone i am about to go make some right now till next time.image from http://google.com
