Homemade Pork Buns: Char Siu Bao

I always love to bake and try out new recipes. I don`t have time to go to a chinese bakery everyday to buy their delicious pastries so I try to make them at home. So far so good. These here are some pork buns that I made from scratch. It`s the baked kind. There are two kinds, baked and steamed. Back then I prefer the steamed kind but I haven`t really like eatinig pork buns lately. But my family loves them so I looked up some recipes and tried making them and they came out really good. So good that I actually already ate 6 of them. I guess I started not liking the meat they used for the pork buns was due to the fact that they had too much fat meat in it. I used lean meat in mine. I just wish I had gotten it out of the oven sooner. I left it in there a tad bit longer than I had wanted. It was more golden brown than I had anticipated. I forgot to watch the oven. This was my second time making this, the first I watched the oven..lol..So my next baking project is the steamed version and wife cookies (), they are one of my favorites too. They are cookies with winter melon fillings.

What is your next baking project?
