So I thought I`d try my hand at making macarons. I`d always wanted to try but I alway thought it was a task way big for me to handle. Actually wasn`t too hard :) There aren`t too many ingredients; just egg whites, almond flour/ground almonds, sugar, powdered sugar, flavoring and coloring. I think next time I`ll put some cream of tartar to stabilize the egg whites, though I think lemon juice works as well if you don`t have that? Not sure, but maybe they`ll be a little more puffy. They still turned out pretty well for my first time I think :) I did raspberry with raspberry jam, lemon with lemon curd, and vanilla with nutella. I think I`ll make these again for christmas presents :)
