After spending well over $50 for glow in the dark body paint for a Sorority Rave Party, I decided i needed to find a cheaper product or learn to make the paint myself. After extensive research and testing, I finally found a formula that works just as well as the name brand product and costs way less.
You`ll need to make a run to your nearby Hobby Lobby or craft store for some of the items. Others you will have already.
Homemade Glow in the Dark Body Paint
4 tbsp. corn starch
2 tbsp. cold cream
2 tbsp. glow in the dark micro powder (available at craft stores; I get mine at Hobby Lobby or Amazon)
Place a bowl onto a flat surface, and pour in 4 tablespoons of corn starch.
Add 2 tablespoons of cold cream into the corn starch, and stir the mixture with a spoon for 5 minutes to combine the ingredients completely. Select cold cream that is unscented if you have sensitive skin.
Add 2 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of glow in the dark micro powder into the mixture, then stir the mixture again for an additional 5 minutes.
Pour the homemade glow in the dark body paint into a sealable container, and store it in the refrigerator until use.
