Let`s start off by saying I`m not a huge brownie fan. During my lifetime I only ate brownies like 4 or 5 times. I think the reasoning being is that I never ate a brownie that hit the mark for me. The brownies that I`ve tried were either too sweet or too dense. But my kids love brownies and always request to buy some when were at Costco. After buying them a couple times, I decided to make my own since I love to bake and try new recipes. Another reason is that I can adjust the amount of sugar and I control the ingredients I put in it. So I googled online for some brownie recipes and came along some pretty good ones. So I picked out a recipe to try based on the reviews I read. This recipe was really simple to make. You don`t need a electric mixer at all. All you need is a whisk and a pot. The pot is used to melt the butter or you can use a microwavable bowl instead to melt the butter in the microwave. And it only takes about 15 minutes to make. I can say that I succeed at my first attempt with this recipe. The brownie came out really nice. The texture wasn`t really dense at all, it was kinda soft and fudgy. The insides was moist too! I hate dry cakes or brownies. It wasn`t overly sweet at all. Even my oldest kid told me that it`s not as sweet at the ones from Costco. My kids love this so much that they request to bring some to school for snacks and they could finish this in one day. Of course I had to control how much they eat. My youngest was so sneaky that when I told him he couldn`t have anymore cause he had three servings of it that he purposely licked another piece so that he would have to eat it...lol..such a sneaky boy.. Oh one thing about this recipe is that it clearly states that you should not over mix and this is true cause if you over mix the batter the texture changes.
