My aunt recently brought home a few boxes of flan pan powder so I thought I would live it a try to make it myself. Surprisingly making flan is extremely easy! It took me a whole 30 minutes or so to finish the entire process but with the results I am quite happy! Depending on how rich and sweet you want the flan to be you could add egg whites and the percentage of milk (1%, 2%, whole milk, etc). The tricky or hardest part in making Flan is mixing the milk and powder mixture on the pan for 20-27 minutes and another is waiting for the Flan to chill in the fridge to eat! The box powder mixture my aunt purchased costed no more than 1.50$ and was able to feed 8 people! Definitely much more rewarding and cheap than buying it in stores! As you can see my flan wasn`t 100% ready since the heat from the flan made some of the carmel from the bottom rise up. Overall, it was extremely fun to make and hard work pays off with delicious homemade flan!
