Tonight for dinner, my family and I made homemade burgers! We bought organic ground beef from Costco, marinated the ground beef with olive oil, salt, pepper, diced white onion, minced garlic, dash of soy sauce and some steak seasoning. All the ingredients we used were eye ball measurements. Once we finished marinating, we pressed the meat into patties and placed into the freezer for 15 minutes. While setting up the station to grill on the George Foreman, we pull the patties out of the freezer for 5 minutes prior to grilling. The reason why we place the meat into the freezer is so when you`re flipping the burger patties they don`t break apart supposedly.
What`s in our Burgers?
- Nature`s Own 100% Whole Wheat Burger Buns
- Tillamook Colby Jack Deli Sliced Natural Cheese
- Sliced tomatoes on the vine
- Sliced avocados
- Grilled bell peppers
- Thinly spread of mayo on the buns
- Side of mix organic spring mix
- Spread mayo on the buns/little bit of ketchup
Overall: The burgers tasted good & healthy as all the fat drained out as you can see in the top right photo! Also, theres more water drained because of the white onions.
