Because I have been on a baking spree lately, I decided to try and make homemade apple pie. I have also made homemade blueberry pie.
The only thing was I didn`t use a regular pan but instead used a foil-one that comes with the graham cracker crust. I did have to make the top dough myself though which went over the apple mixture that I made, that was the inside of the pie. I also made a crumb-cake topping for the top.
Because the bottom crust was pre-made, it burned a bit when cooking ( which is why the outside crust is burnt), while the crust towards the middle didn`t burn because that is what I hand-made. I sprinkled the top with a bit of powdered sugar at the end.
<strong> Although it doesn`t win for best appearance, it did actually taste really good. The apples tasted super fresh and there were lots of them. I love crumb toppings on pies, so that was a great touch as well. </strong>
