I made pasta for a bunch of our friends the other day! I used Classico`s Organic Italian Herbs & Spices Pasta Sauce and added more spices and seasonings to it to make it creamier and tastier.
I stir fried tiny chunks of chicken breast in a simple marinate made of ajinomoto, chili flakes, black pepper, and lemon juice and set it aside. In the same pan, I stir fried yellow and green bell peppers, cabbage, onions, and carrots with similar seasonings.
Then I mixed the sauce, the chicken and the veggies together. I took 1-2 spoons of the sauce and spread a thin layer on the bottom of the pan I wanted to baked it in and then mixed the rest of the sauce with the penne pasta I prepared earlier.
Lastly, I sprinkled cheese on top and set it in the oven on broil for 5-10 mins - just enough for the cheese to melt and brown a bit.
It was delicious! And I was so happy it turned out well because I went completely by instinct :)
