Holy Grail Correcting Concealer: Pixi Correction Concentrate Review

This is a RAVE review of my all-time favorite, holy-grail, will-die-if-it-ever-gets-discontinued undereye concealer! It is from a brand called Pixi, and it is called "Correction Concentrate." My color is in Brightening Peach. I believe this is the only shade they make for this correcter. I purchased mine at Target for about $15 USD. It is a bit pricey for what seems to be a tiny little jar (3 g, 0.1 oz), but it is exactly what the name says: concentrated! I`ve had this product for six months and use it every time I put makeup on, and I have yet to even put a dent in it.

This product is so amazing because it is creamy and densely pigmented, so it covers absolutely everything. The color resembles a pinkish-peach, which is the best for cancelling out undereyes that are blueish. My undereyes are genetically dark, and my college sleep schedule (or lack thereof) doesn`t help my situation! My biggest problem is that my veins are very visible under my eyes and in my eyelids, as you can see in the above "before" picture.

I apply this concealer using my *clean* fingers; I use my ring finger to tap this underneath my eyes and on my eyelids and blend. It is creamy but it is also very thick, and I find that it blends the most easily when I use a foundation primer underneath. Otherwise, it could look a bit cakey, but primer makes it glide on smoothly and it looks flawless. My "after" picture should show you the DRAMATIC difference!!! I set the concealer with some basic Cover Girl pressed powder, and it doesn`t budge all day.

I can`t really speak for anyone who may have wrinkles or fine lines, but in my experience, it looks smooth and natural. I especially love that it looks a tad scary in the pot, but it neutralizes the color under my eyes so well and does not look at all orange or peach. My skin tone is fair and has a neutral undertone, and I`d imagine that someone with different undertones or a deeper skin color may need to follow up with a concealer that matches their skintone or may have to place foundation on top of the corrector. That being said, it is so good at neutralizing the most difficult of dark circles that I think it is worth it for everyone with a fair-to-medium skintone to try!

Hope this review was helpful to you all! Hope you`re having a wonderful weekend!
