Highlights and lowlights in my hair balayage

Helloo !!!
I have been having problems posting things on my chrome...anyone else with this problem ?
I will be doing a few posts about my hair today, seeing as the fact that I have time and I just wanted to get a few things up...so if you see a few from me, sorry! :)
Anyway, so after I dyed my hair with the liese hair dye ( my review: http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/liese-bubble-hair-colour-milk-tea-brown?blog_id=17929 ) I decided that I didn`t really like the colour difference and there wasn`t much dimention in my hair, so I looked up a few things about highlight your hair. I ended up picking Freeze lites from sally`s and I already had the xp 100 colour dye in violet. I decied to balayage my hair. It was low mentanience, easy to do and I figured I like that messy beachy kind of look anyway. So the colour I was going for was kind of a caramel highlights with darker brown lowlights in my medium brown hair. I used a 20vol/ 6% developer from sally`s. Other things you will need :
2 mixing bowls
2 tinting brushes
rat tail comb
hair brush
Cling film
unwanted clothes
I used a 2 :1 ratio of developer to bleach
Low lights :
I used a 1:1 ratio.
I sectioned my hair off into small sections and I started to brush on some of the bleach and then another strand of the dye. For some other sections I took a rat tail comb, brush on some of the dye or bleach onto it and brushed it onto the strand of hair. This will make it look a bit more natural and the colour`s a bit more dispersed. After each section I would put a piece of cling film onto my hair ( to stop the dyes from mixing onto the next section). I would repeat this to the whole of my head. Then I left it on for 30 minutes and washed it out.
The highlights and low lights did come out very nice. Having said that, I do need to now get a toner,as my hair has gone lighter and it`s very orangy . I did not think I need a toner, but now I need to get one. So if you are doing thing then I highly reccommend one!
Thank you !
