As mentioned in my last two food related posts I made my way into a local Italian bakery with my coworker on our lunch break earlier in the week. We went in to pick up lunch and since Thanksgiving was a few days away, we popped into the bakery to see what goodies they had available. I picked up a few things to try out before deciding if the bakery was a place worthy of a return (it was). But this was a cookie I saw in the case and had to buy it for my niece. I knew I was going to be seeing her so I wanted to get her a little surprise. A surprise in the shape of Hello Kitty! My niece is only 3 ½ but she thinks Hello Kitty is so cute (LOVE her!!) I thought the cookie was adorable because it as shaped perfectly, almost to the point it doesnt look real (as in edible). This was I believe $2. The cookie itself is a classic snickerdoodle/sugar cookie which is then frosted a solid white frosting and then decorated. The frosting is hardened so the cookie face wouldnt smudge to nothing in the bag. I gave it to my niece when I saw her and she was super excited and she even said it was delicious.
Have you ever bought a Hello Kitty shaped food item?
