There was a similar recipe that involved the use of celery. I don`t know about you, but I HATE celery. So I found one that used apples instead. =)
Apple - 1 whole
Peanut butter - 1 tablespoon
Raisins - 20
This takes about 2 minutes to make, which is great for time strapped professionals or students.
Just core the apple and slice them into 1/4" slices.
Take a slice and spread peanut butter on it
Put some raisins on top
Place another slice on top to make an apple sandwich
The recipe makes about 3 of these apple sandwiches and you will get full after eating 2 of them due to the apple and peanut butter making you full.
The entire snack is under 200 calories, which is great for anyone looking for a healthy snack and won`t ruin your diet.
Peanut butter has essential fats and protein to help keep you full while apples have essential vitamins such as vitamin C. The raisins are very high in fibre.
What do you guys think?
