If you have medium to long hair, you`ve probably dealt with split ends quite often in your life. I have and I still am dealing with these annoying multiple ends which make my hair looking dry and just not healthy.
But, is there a way to prevent split ends? I`ve found some interesting suggestions http://www.oprah.com/style/Hair-Advice-How-to-Prevent-Split-Ends#ixzz1pfZdBmaA which I thought to share with you. Master stylist Barry Reitman, from the Juan Juan Center in Beverly Hills reveals some tricks and tips to help with this problem: *Use a rich and thick moisturizing shampoo and rinse-out conditioner, concentrating the product on your split ends. *Rinse with cool water to seal the hair`s outer layer. *Detangle with a wide-tooth comb; DO NOT brush your hair while it`s wet. *Pour a bit of shine serum (hint: try Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Shine Glistening Drops) into your palm and glide it over split ends. *Be sure to dry your hair thoroughly; split ends look worse when they`re frizzy. Moreover: *To camouflage the ends, use a light heat protectant (like Redken Spray Starch 15 versatile ironing spray, priced at $13) when hair is completely dry. Then use a ceramic or Teflon flatiron to straighten the bottom inch of your hair. He also underlines that, no matter what, just because of normal wear and tear, you will have split ends sooner or later. There`s no way to prevent them entirey. Getting regular trims is important to your hair`s health. And it is the only way to completely get rid of them. --- opinions from http://www.oprah.com/style/Hair-Advice-How-to-Prevent-Split-Ends
