Like I mentioned in a previous post this year and next most of my friends turn eighteen, meaning there will be a lot of parties, nights out and meals so basically a lot of dressing up. While shopping with a friend I spotted a dress at Miss Selfridge I liked to wear, to one of these occasions. I did not have enough money at the time so I went back with my boyfriend about a week later and purchased it.
It is a black dress with a sheer pink peplum top half, the sheer material has a higher neckline than the black underneath creating a lovely effect. The pink material fastens at the back with a button, while the black has some silver zip detailing. I really wanted a peplum dress as I loved the style of these, however I was yet to find one in a nice material until now so I knew I had to buy it. I think this will look nice with black shoes, a black bag and some black and silver jewellery, which is how I will wear it. I am unsure of whether to wear tights or just go bare legged in this but I will decide this closer to the time.
This originally cost £39 but with my student discount I got it for about £35, I think this is a good price for the quality of the dress. My boyfriend actually paid for this, the shop assistant was quite awkward and nearly would not allow student discount as I was not paying. I dont see how they shouldnt allow me student discount because it is quite clear it is not for him and I have done this many times so it is just weird how they now decided it is not allowed. In the end she gave me the student discount but I was still annoyed at all the fuss she unnecessarily created.
I cant wait to wear this dress, I love it!
Picture is mine, it doesnt show how nice the dress actually is.
