Hi everyone! Here is a haul from a really long time ago, but the products are available all the time so I figured it wouldn`t hurt to post about it.
As some of you may have noticed, there are products on the MAC website that are not sold at all MAC stores; these are the Pro products and are generally available online, over the phone and at MAC Pro stores. These products are sold to the general public so you don`t have to be a makeup artist in order to get them. Luckily there is a MAC Pro store in downtown San Francisco, so I can look at these in person before purchasing.
Contouring and highlighting are all the rage this year with every brand from high end to drugstore putting out their version of contouring and highlighting products. This technique really only seemed to be necessary for those in the industry, but it really can be done by anyone for any occasion. MAC has had these products for a very long time and I decided to expand my color selection during a trip to the store.
The shades I picked up are:
- Accentuate: a softly shimmering peachy highlight
- Shadester: a matte bronze
Both of these retail for $17 each and are sold in the pan form, not in a compact. If you would like to house them in something you can always add them to a Z palette or pop them into the MAC blush palettes (which hold six pans).
These powders are very soft and pigmented so a little goes a long way. Personally I think `Shadester` is a bit too warm to be a contour color for light and fair skintones so I tend to use it as a bronzer to add warmth to my face, and a cooler-toned powder as a contour.
Thanks for reading!
