Hi everyone! Happy 1st day of June! The year is flying by so quickly and before you know it, it will be 2016. I`m trying to enjoy what looks to be my last summer before I start dental school so that means lots of relaxing and shopping.
Earlier in the year, there was buzz that Estee Lauder was going to be re-releasing their very popular `Heatwave` Illuminating Powder Gelee in their Summer 2015 collection and that set the community ablaze. There were those like me who wanted to try it after missing out the first time, and others who were hoping to get a backup of this product. Clearly it`s a favorite highlighter for many and Estee Lauder even confirmed on social media that it was going to be re-released. However, several months later they later took back that statement and said that it wasn`t happening.
Well, the summer collection has been released, and from the looks of it...this product is not like the coveted `Heatwave,` despite being an Illuminating Powder Gelee and having the same star/sunburst design.
This is the `Bronze Goddess` Illumination Powder Gelee and it retails for $40. I saw this product at Macy`s first, but later bought it at Sephora during the same shopping trip. It was actually surprising seeing this at Sephora because not all stores carry the line, so it was an unexpected sighting.
Even though this is called `Bronze Goddess,` to me this looks more like a soft gold rather than bronze. I have used this as a highlighter and it gives a subtle glow rather than disco ball glitter. The powder is not as soft as others I have tried, so it`s almost impossible to overdo this.
Thanks for reading! Have you tried this product or the coveted `Heatwave?`
