Since I made the horrible decision last year to dye my own hair at home and burned my scalp, I`ve been dealing with an itchy scalp. It`s been almost a year since that happened, and I`m still dealing with it. I`ve tried loads of shampoos, used oil treatments, and all of them help, but the problem is still there. On a recent trip to Toronto I visited an aunt who gave me this shampoo from Avon. She said it really helps her itchy scalp (I don`t have dandruff, just an itchy scalp, which I dont itch so I don`t get dandruff).
So I`ve used it for a few weeks and I honestly am not finding it`s doing anything special. My scalp is still itchy between washes, unless I oil it, which helps a lot. That`s honestly the only thing I`m really finding helps. Basically what I do is I apply olive oil onto my scalp and brush my scalp lightly for a few minutes to get it thoroughly drenched. I then tie it up and leave it in for a few hours. It does wonders for a dry, itchy scalp and really hydrates and conditions the hair as well. I just don`t always have time to apply and leave in oil for several hours, so that`s the downside to that strategy.
