I`m back with a review of my Hard Candy Colour Correcting primer, that I purchased at Walmart a while ago. (If you want too see the haul from that shopping trip, you can see that post here: http://www.luuux.com/viz/walmart-haul-108 )
I first tried a mini Hard Candy Face Primer sample when they had them on sale for a dollar last Easter. After using up that sample, that lasted me quite a long time, I recently decided to buy a full size. The sample I tried was just a standard, clear primer with that silicone-y feel, however when going to buy the full size, there were actually lots of options with different colour bases focusing on different needs for people`s skin (brightening, shine-reducing etc).
I went for the colour correcting option - my skin is generally well behaved so I don`t get too many breakouts but I do have issues with redness and dryness. My cheeks and the sides of my nose can start to look very ruddy, and the green undertone in this primer helps combat that.
In fact, even by just applying this primer, it helps gives my skin a smoother, more even look.
The texture of the primer is also very nice - it`s not as slick as the original one I tried, but it still has a very smooth application. It starts off slightly slick, but is also a little bit creamy. And best part is that it doesn`t feel heavy on the skin.
This is definitely leaps and bounds better than my Nars primer that I`ve had forever. I haven`t tried too many other face primers, but this does a great job and I can totally see myself re-purchasing this. But at the same time, a little goes a long way, so I don`t foresee myself running out any time soon. Ive already had it for a few months, but Im barely halfway through :)
