Happy Chinese Valentine`s Day: Chocolate Bouquet

Today is the Chinese Qixi festival, also known as "Chinese Valentine`s Day." According to legend, the Emperor of Heaven forbade his daughter, Seventh Fairy Princess from seeing her human lover, an ox herd. The Emperor of Heaven separated the princess and the ox herd by placing them each on separate sides of a heavenly river. But on one day during the year, the magical magpies fly across the river and form a bridge, allowing the lovers to meet.

If you look into the sky tonight, you can see their story in the stars. The princess and her lover are the stars Altair and Vega. Their babies are the stars and Aquilae. The heavenly river is the Milky Way. Because this family must be separated after this one visit and not see each other for another year, their many tears become the rain that falls during this summer day.

Anyhow, that`s the story. Here are some pictures of my "Chinese Valentine`s Day" bouquet. Instead of flowers, it had Ferrero Rocher Chocolate. So this does count as a food post, right? ;) I also got a bear holding purple roses and two pink balloons. If the weather isn`t too bad, we`ll go out and celebrate.
