This Friday marked the end of one internship; it was very bittersweet. I felt extremely accomplished as I learned a lot, enjoyed all the patient interaction I had, and loved everything I was able to do! I will definitely miss everybody from my site, but I`m so looking forward to my next rotation! To celebrate the end of the rotation, I did a little shopping.
Earlier in the week my Sephora order came in; I desperately needed more of my favorite foundation (really it`s just a tinted moisturizer). Ever since I tried the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, I have been really pleased with it and have no complaints! It has light coverage, doesn`t make my skin feel greasy, and comes in plenty of shades. It`s also free of parabans, sulfates, and phthalates. My shade is Groenland, which Sephora describes as a light medium with a neutral pink to peachy undertone. When I was at Sephora a few weeks ago I tried the Color IQ foundation matching technology, and it turns out this shade was one of my perfect matches; my color IQ match number is 2y06!
I also picked up three nail polishes. The Essie polishes above are Eternal Optimist and Angora Cardi . I`ve been on a muted, neutral kind of nail polish kick. Both are cream finishes, reminiscent of soft sweaters, and perfect for Fall and work. I also grabbed an EOS lip balm; I can`t believe I`ve never tried one before! This one was the only flavor, Pomegranate Raspberry, that really appealed to me. Hopefully it`ll be worth the $4!
With my Sephora order, I also purchased the Nails Inc. Special Effects polish in Electric Lane. It`s a microglitter holographic polish which I think looks lovely alone or as a top coat! The formulation is good, the polish is thin, but not runny; two coats will get you pretty full coverage.
I also stopped by Kohl`s today with my mom; she wanted to buy some sweaters for Fall. I didn`t have anything I really needed but I saw this cute blue Vera Wang dress! It was on sale (less than $30) and it fits well for a petite figure - appropriate length and proportionally cut arm-holes!
My last free day for a while was spent with my family at a fundraiser for local families who are going through a life-changing struggle. The event happens every year and we always go; they have the best BBQ chicken!
How was your weekend?
