Hair Treatment for Damaged Hair

Hey Ladies!!
I decided to try some new products for my wash day . Yesterday, I had a job interview and I pulled my hair up into a high sleek bun using some hair gel and holding spray. Needless to say, the gel and holding spray made my hair hard and dry so I decided to do a cowash today. I recently picked up a new conditioner from my local Dollar Tree that Ive been dying to try out. Its the Daily Defense Keratin Enriched Moisturizing Conditioner. I used that for my cowash. For those that do not know, cowashing is gently cleansing the hair and scalp with a cleansing conditioner on the days you really dont want to use shampo. Its usually done by those with curly or texturized hair but we all know that using shampoo too often can really dry out hair. You can goggle it for more information. Many different brands make cleansing conditioners such as LOreal, As I Am, WEN, Pantene and many more. I have quite a few conditioners I use for cowashing when I want to refresh my hair but not strip it of its moisture. I am glad I decided to purchase the Daily Defense conditioner because it worked well for a cowash. I actually like it so much Im going to see how well it works as a deep conditioner one day. Its thick, creamy, smells amazing and left my hair nice, soft and refreshed.
Whenever I wash my hair my hair, I always deep condition it afterward. Since my hair was in need of some extra protein, I decided to try a new protein conditioner. I picked the Palmers Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack from my local Family Dollar discount store for $1.50. This conditioner is thicker than the Daily Defense Conditioner, creamy, and smells like coconut. Before applying it, I allowed my hair to dry about 50%because I prefer to apply deep conditioner to damp hair, my hair soaks the conditioner up better that way. I then put it into a bowl, added some Olive Oil, Safflower Oil, and Grapeseed oil and then put the mixture into the microwave for about 20 seconds to warm it up as I do all of my deep conditioners. I then applied it to my hair and allowed it to sit for about 1.5 hours. When I went to rinse it out I noticed that it looked like my hair hadnt fully absorbed it, unlike my ORS Replenishing Conditioner which my hair soaks up like a dream. My hair did feel soft and conditioned though! Ill definitely get another pack soon to use after I shampoo my hair and get all of the product out of it. I am thinking that it may absorb even better on freshly shampooed hair. Overall, I am very pleased with both products! I am definitely glad I purchased them! My hair feels great! I totally recommend getting the protein pack if you want a medium protein treatment. The protein pack has more protein than the ORS Replenishing conditioner and less than any hard protein treatment like Aphogee 2 Step. It leaves the hair nicely moisturized too. I give it a 4/5.

Thanks for checking this out!!
