Finally, I can start posting again! :D
My laptop has been playing up alot recently so everytime I try to post, the pictures fail, but for now it seems to be working hehe
A few months back I read online about `hair chalking` and as a reformed hair-dye-aholic, being able to `colour` your hair but wash out instantly seemed ideal!
I was very wary about the whole idea though, as obviously things don`t always go to plan and in my mind it wouldn`t wash out and i`d have to go to work etc.
Also from all the tutorials, videos, blogs about hair chalking they tend to be specific on blonde or brunette never red-heads (worrying!)
To chalk your hair you need to buy `soft pastels` and I became easily confused by this in regards to chalks or pastels etc. but basically, the box should say `soft pastels`, i found mine in a local art-store for around £4 :)
DO NOT buy oil pastels as they supposedly have an odd effect on your hair, and buying regular chalk won`t work either as it just falls out
Most tutorials state to damp your hair as you`re chalking to create a stronger colour that locks in, this is dependent on your hair colour, i started out not using water but it seemed to be falling out alot so i sprayed it lightly and sure enough it stayed in :) you twist each section rubbing the pastel downwards to your desired effect and i locked mine in by flat-ironing it afterwards and a spritz of hairspray :)
Overall i was really pleased with the results and i brushed it out that evening to prevent knotting, washed it in the morning and it was completely gone! :)
