I am a huge fan of doing hair treatments using natural ingredients. I like to read the labels of most hair products I buy just to be sure they contain some good natural ingredients and not just a bit of chemicals and words I cant pronounce. I especially like doing natural treatments right before I shampoo my hair. So while in the grocery store today I picked up a few of my favorites to use in my pre-shampoo treatments.
First I got some Avocados. I especially love avocado treatments, they leave my hair feeling softer and stronger. Avocado has so many benefits for your hair so I always get them. I actually got the idea of using them natural after using the Burts Bees Avocado Pre=Shampoo treatment.
Next I got some Coconut Milk. Everyone knows how good coconut milk and oil is for the hair and skin..and if you dont know, I totally suggest researching the benefits. I usually mix about a tablespoon in pretty much all of my treatments.
I also got some Apple Cider Vinegar which I used diluted with water as a ACV rinse. It really helps porous frizzy hair.
I got some more honey too. I always mix a bit in my conditioner or pre-shampoo treatment for its humectant properties. It really helps to draw moisture into your hair (and no, it doesnt make your hair sticky when its mixed with other ingredients LOL).
Finally, I got some Black Tea. If you check out my page youll see a recent post of me explaining how and why I do my black tea rinses.
So thats pretty much it. I love buying stuff that is good for me on the inside and out! I also picked up some plain yogurt to do a yogurt treatment (which I also recently posted about) but I put it in the refrigerator before I took the pic and forgot about it.
So what do you ladies think about trying natural pre-shampoo hair treatments?
