Hey guys! I`ve had some food posts saved up that I`m going to get through in the next little while. I`ve still got a ton of makeup posts to do as well but some of these are even more overdue so I figured it was about time I shared! This past summer my family and I grew lots of vegetables in our backyard. While in the past I was very lazy (also a lot younger), I`ve recently become a bargain shopper, a do-it-yourself junkie, and someone who`s all about growing whatever you can at home. I suppose as you get older and see how hard it is to make money and how easy it is to waste it, you find ways to get more value for it!
I thought I`d share one of the many beautiful baskets we were able to get from our mini-garden/vegetable batch. Tomoato seeds are super cheap and by planting, tending, and watering them, my family and I were able to get an entire season`s worth of tomatoes! That`s right, we didn`t buy tomatoes for almost 6 months in 2012 :D. That`s just one example, we had the same experience with the other vegetables and fruits as well :).
