I would consider myself more of a Manhattan person having lived there most of my life. But for the past 6 years or so I`ve called Brooklyn home. And especially in the last few years I`ve ventured out into different parts of Brooklyn to explore.
Today I want to talk about Greenpoint. It`s in the Northern parts of Brooklyn close to the water. It`s a predominantly Polish neighborhood. And the first time I visited there I was actually taken there by a former colleague who is Polish for lunch. In Greenpoint you`ll find a mostly old neighborhood with small restaurants and mom and pop shops. Williamsburg who is next door have only invaded slightly with its yuppies.
If you have a family or a craving for Polish food I definitely recommend a visit. They have great parks for families.
Talk the TALK
1) Have you ever visited Greenpoint Brooklyn (on the G line)?
2) Have you ever tried Polish cuisine?
