You can`t obviously land on a garbage patch via air plane but you can perhaps pass the Pacific Ocean or sail there and stumble across this huge patch of trash. If you really want to know where this patch is located-- it`s roughly 135° to 155°W and 35° to 42°N. Ever wonder where trash goes when it doesn`t get into the recycle bin? In the ocean! Look at all that trash and there`s more underneath the ocean that isn`t visible.
Facts about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch:
Also known as Pacific Trash Vortex
Approximately the size of Texas, all filled with trash (OMG!)
Trash is non-biodegradable, chemicals and etc
This is a place no one would want to visit. And, hopefully trash won`t keep accumulating. We need to reduce trash, recycle and help clean our earth/universe!
Did you know that the Great Pacific Garbage Patch even existed?
