I`ve been eyeing the L`oreal Infallibles for a while now. I`ve played with the test jars everytime I go to a drugstore. I loved all of the shades. But these retail for $8.99-10.99 in Canada which is quite expensive for drugstore makeup, and it`s not like I need any more eyeshadows, so I never got them.
There was this one night last week that I drove past a London Drugs. I had not browsed a drugstore for makeup in a while so I decided to go in there and take a look at what`s new. Surprisingly, I found 3-4 baskets with lots of cosmetic items on sale for 40%-50% off. For those of you who are from the US, I know that you guys have drugstore makeup sales all the time. But in Canada, this doesn`t happen very often. Most of the time, we get like a pathetic 20% off or something. So back to the sale baskets. I was extremely excited to start digging into the baskets to see if I can find anything I like. I think there`s also something about digging through things in order to find a deal that excites me. If the stuff were nicely arranged on a rack, I might have not felt so excited.
So after a little work, I was able to find these L`oreal Infallible eyeshadows for $5.99. There were only limited colors, a purple, a sage/green, and some bronze colors. I picked Amber Rush, which is very pretty peachy-bronze color. It`s kind of similar to MAC`s All that Glitters but more peachy. I also got bronzed taupe, which is similar to MAC`s Satin Taupe but more frosty.
I have already played with both of these eyeshadows. I have to say Amber Rush is just such a beautiful color, especially for the summer. I just use it as a light wash on the lid to add some blingbling to my eyes. It creates a really clean and refreshing look. Bronzed Taupe is also a gorgeous color, but it`s a little too frosty for my taste.
