Game of Thrones, as everyone probably knows by now, is a wildly popular TV show based on an even more wildly popular book series (thanks in part to the show). The characters are as diverse and rich as the landscapes in which they live. And this look was inspired in part by a character from a desert-like country in Westeros called Dorne, Ellaria Sand, and the fact that I had that awesome dress hanging around in my items on Polyvore and I wanted to use it.
I created the look with a sleeveless sheath dress from Emilio Pucci in a mango color and a cute asymmetrical ruffle design on the shoulder (love that almost as much as I love the color of the dress). Its very sleek, but still very elegant, perfect for a woman who is the paramour of the rulling Princes younger brother. And since the dress itself is such a bright, loud and vibrant color, I tried to keep the rest of the look in a fairly neutral sand palette.
For shoes I chose a pair of taupe/sand colored wedge heels from Diane Von Furstenberg, a sandy colored snakesin print clutch from Alexander McQueen, a wrap-around snake ring from designer Daniela Swaebe, a golden snake necklace from Tiffanys, which are tip offs to the nickname of her paramour (the Red Viper) and his children (the Sand Snakes). I finished up the look with a pair of Aurélie Bidermann 18-karat clip on medallion earrings, a Roberto Cavalli ring, and a golden cuff embellished with coins.
And even if you have no idea what the hell Im talking about, let me know what you think of the look overall.
