Google maps was used in a court case about a dog chasing down a cyclist. The cyclist was passing by, and suddenly saw a dog chasing him. He got so scared that he fell off his bike (he was trying to avoid the dog, and he must have panicked too much), and had injuries on his forehead.
The defendant with the surname Lee denied that he had anything to do with the dog. The judge then used a google maps image that was two years old as evidence that the dog did belong to sir Lee, as the image revealed a dog in is garden, that was the exact same dog that chased the defendant.
sir Lee was charged £1,267.
