This is my second post of anything gluten-related. :) I have been gluten-free for about 3 months now. I have something called Celiac disease, which basically means you are gluten-intollerant. For those suffering from celiac disease, eating gluten could have a minor impact like extreme fatigue and bloating to more major effects such as cancer and infertility.
Ever since I stopped eating gluten, I have felt amazing! Sounds cheesy but trust me, prior to finding out that I am allergic to gluten, I have been prone to fainting and getting sick.
Being gluten-free could be challenging but if you do your research, it`s really quite an easy transition. Mainly, read up on what to eat and what not to eat. Stock up your fridge and pantry with gluten-free items, from staples like pasta and bread, to everyday-snacks.
This is another example of what I eat ever since I became gluten-free! :) I`m a pretty big fan of toast. I eat them as desserts, with sweet strawberry and blueberry jams. Yummm! I`m going to make some toasts after writing this post actually lol :)
I recently found out that Albertson`s does carry gluten-free bread but you would have to ask the bakery section. They keep them refrigerated, since they aren`t really the most popular item. You can get a loaf for $5 and I have to say, that`s pretty steep. Especially since it`s quite a small loaf but I don`t get it as often. So no biggie! :)
I definitely recommend those who are either sensitive to gluten or thinking of trying out the gluten-free lifestyle to check out the local grocery stores and ask for this gluten-free bread. Great to have as a staple!
Have you tried anything gluten-free? :)
Thanks for reading!
