Glasgow Rangers changed its name after being purchased by British entrepreneur.
The British businessman Charles Green on Thursday bought the Rangers for about seven million euros. The Scottish club shall be called The Rangers Football Club. The Glasgow team declared bankruptcy due to a debt of 26 million euros to finance the UK and after a viability plan was rejected by the agency. In the first words as a club owner, Green assured the club "will continue to operate as it always has, but with a new corporate structure." Charles Green keeps Ally McCoist as a coach for next season. The manager also confirmed that the team will continue to play at Ibrox Park. The club owner also named Malcolm Murray as its new chairman. The Rangers Football Club has applied for registration with the Scottish Football Association in order to continue playing in the Scottish league.
