Hello, everyone! Thanks again to all of you who read and left feedback on my posts so far. I have to return the favor. :0)
Not too long ago, I ran out of the only thing in the Yes To range that hasn`t destroyed my skin - the Yes To Blueberries Facial Towelettes. I`ve been using them since winter and they work quite well. It gets rid of a lot of makeup (whenever I wear it) and it`s gentle on my skin. The solution it`s soaked in makes my skin feel soft. During a trip to my local grocery store, I found the Giovanni towelettes on a display not too far away from the YTB`s. Both had the same price and the same amount of product. I decided to try it out since I like Giovanni`s hair shampoos and conditioners. The towelettes contain acai, goji berry, fig, and green tea extracts as well as volcanic ash and Vitamin E. Giovanni uses certified organic (although there is no USDA label) and vegetarian ingredients. There are no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, dyes, or artificial fragrances.
Upon opening the package, I detected a light, fresh smell. The towelettes are a bit thinner and smaller than YTB`s. The soft biodegradable fiber and volcanic ash helps exfoliate your skin gently as you remove the dirt, oil and makeup on your face. The solution is a bit soapy - think of baby wipes - and is an excellent makeup remover. If Giovanni could bottle this solution, I would buy it in a heartbeat. It got rid of mascara and waterproof eyeliner with a tiny bit of effort, and it was gentle on my eyes. I always wash my face after I wipe it down in case I miss some areas. I really didn`t have to do that with these towelettes. In addition, I didn`t get that slippery feel like I do with YTB afterwards. My face felt clean and smooth, but not stripped.
I`m thinking of buying these again. Despite the smaller size, I think it performs better than the YTB. This will be my new holy grail product!
You can find this and other Giovanni products at Wal-Mart, The Vitamin Shoppe, and Target. You can also try Amazon. Giovanni also has their own online store at http://www.giovannicosmetics.net/
