Downtown New York was a mad house today! Luckily my drive to the Holland Tunnel kept me mostly to the west side and not far south enough to hit the parade.
The ticker tape parade by the city is down by what they call the Canyons of Heroes (Broadway by Wall Street) and then stopping at City Hall for a ceremony by the Mayor to give them the keys to the city. While I was not there, not one of the many playing hooky from work or school, I did listen to it on the radio. The crowd according to the announcers was much bigger than the last time the Giants beat the Patriots.
The game in case you missed it, (what? Millions watched it and you missed it?!) had the Giants winning 21-17 over the Patriots. As the score showed it was a close game throughout. The Giants was the underdog having gone 9-7 for the season and is the FIRST team with such a bad record to win the Super Bowl.
Talk the TALK
1) Have you ever been to a ticker tape parade when your team won it all?
2) Do you like big crowds like that or the comforts of your couch?
