So this is what the product states:
"Lip renew formula and 8-hr hydration for visibly renewed lips in 4 weeks. Clinical care for baby-soft lips."
When I first ran into this product by Maybelline, I was skeptical about the product since it is a drugstore brand. I bought this at the nearest CVS and it was on a buy one get one 50% off sale so I decided to try them out! The products claims to "renew lips" and to make lips "reborn" after 4 weeks of application. My first impression was that the product smelled WONDERFUL... a candy sweet smell that associated with the names assigned to each container (ex. cherry me smelled like a cherry flavored pixi stick). The smell isn`t too overwhelming and it tends to fade quickly. Considering the fact that this product is a lip balm, the colors were very pigmented on the lips. They showed up enough to reveal a pop of color yet not enough to prominently reveal that you were wearing a lip product. There are also two flavors/scents without color! Oh! The Baby Lips product also contains SPF 20 (a big plus!). The cons I have about this product is that it tends to dry up my lips after and some of them leave a sunblock taste in your mouth.
So overall what is my verdict on this product? I think that this product has a lot of potential and great color pigmentation. It definitely did make my lips feel softer right after application but after a few minutes made my lips dry on the rims of my sensitive lips. I definitely recommend this product to others because of its SPF properties and other pros but if you have sensitive lips like me I would apply another lip balm underneath to prevent drying!
