So last time I tried to remove my first set of gel nails, it tore my nails apart because I did the soaking method (basically dipping your nails in acetone for 30 minutes). My fingers were aching for days, I`m guessing because of the skin exposure to 100% acetone. This time I tried a different method of putting cotton pads with Red Carpet Manicure Erase Gel Nail Polish Remover, and wrapping foil around each nail. I didn`t need too much product and the foils went on fairly easily except when I got to the second hand since I had to do it backwards plus with foiled hand! I left this on for 20 minutes and then pulled them off and the polish came right off! There were maybe 2 tiny spots I scraped off, but I was pleased with the product because it was strong enough to remove the polish yet didn`t leave me but with a tiny bit of aching in my fingers. I also didn`t have destroyed nails because there are some moisturizing properties in the Red Carpet product. I am much less scared of doing gel polish again now that I found a proper removal method that doesn`t hurt my natural nails.
