Every holiday season, Disney hosts Mickey`s Very Merry Christmas Party, an exclusive event at the Magic Kingdom for guests who would like to experience the holidays with the magic of Disney! The party kicks off at 7pm and guests are treated with complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, and wide variety of holiday-themed events! I always love watching the castle light show and fireworks display. Disney does a wonderful job creating that special holiday feeling :)
I attended MVMCP a few nights ago with some cast members. The ride lines were incredibly short (5 minutes for Jingle Cruise? YES! Our captain was hands-down one of the best I`ve ever had, too!), meeting characters was a breeze (longest wait was only 20 minutes - pretty awesome!), and we had fantastic spots for viewing the fireworks and the parade. The only downside was how absolutely cold it was... it was in the low 50`s! And in Florida, that might as well be freezing. We came prepared bundled in holiday sweaters and scarves, bit we were still pretty cold. While waiting for the parade after the fireworks show, we took turns making hot chocolate runs haha :) But maybe the reason why it was so cold this year was the addition of some new characters to the holiday parade... the cast of Frozen!
As a Frozen fan, I was incredibly happy to see Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf join the parade lineup with the other Disney characters. Anna and Elsa rode together in a winter-themed sleigh followed by Kristoff (showing off his good looks and ice-chopping skills!) and then Olaf. I really liked the fact that they were in a sleigh and didn`t have a coordinated dance to do on a float like some of the other characters tend to have, because this way they were able to wave and look at most of the crowd and really have some good interaction that way. My friends and I were wearing large snowflake headbands and Anna pointed at them and loved them! We didn`t realize how Frozen-themed we looked until people and characters we met kept asking us if we had `run into Elsa` haha :)
I definitely loved this year`s holiday parade particularly because of the addition of Anna and Elsa. They fit in so well with the winter/holiday theme!
