Last weekend, my mom took me by surprise and told me that we were going out to a restaurant for dinner! As you may guess, I was super excited. My mom is a huge fan of Asian food so whenever we go out, we will always usually go to one of those restaurants. The restaurant we went to was Chinese based. It was a small little family owned restaurant and had a tiny, but good amount of items on it.
One thing that I got that was really delicious was my appetizer. The dish that I got was a fried tofu pocket stuffed with egg. The presentation of the dish was well done. The 5 tofu pockets (I know that the pic. shows 4, but that is because I ate 1 before the pic lol) came out on a blue and green decorated dish.
The tofu itself was amazing tasting! The tofu wasn`t super fried like other places but enough. The fried tofu skin on top was crunchy and had a lot of flavor to it and the inside was soft and tasty! The egg inside was also well cooked. It was slightly under seasoned, but that is okay with me because the chefs put leeks (i think that is what it is called) to add some flavor. Plus the fried tofu was filled with flavor to cover the egg!
Have you ever had this dish before?
Are you a fan of fried tofu?
