I absolutely love these fried tofu skins! I am not the biggest fan of tofu in general, there are only certain types of tofu that I like. These tofu skins were fried and mixed with some savory sauce, spinach, and shrimp. The flavor is unbeatable and the texture of it really interesting. It`s very chewy, but soft, and it feels as if all the sauce has been absorbed to the inside of the tofu. If you order them fresh at the restaurant, them come really puffy, but it deflates if you order take out. Either way, it tastes so delicious! I like mixing these tofu skins and the sauce into a bowl of noodles, but you can also eat them alone or with some rice.
I highly recommend trying these if you haven`t already! A plate is about $4 at my local Shanghai restaurant.
