After a successful shopping spree, my boyfriend and I had a late Friday night dinner at one of our favorite casual dining restaurant, Red Robins Gourmet Burgers & Brew. We typical do not order appetizers but the $3/$5/$7 appetizers looked very appealing and I was craving for some Guac, Salsa & Chips! The Guac, Salsa & Chips are only $5 bucks and you get a generous amount of chips with guac & salsa. You could literally munch of these chips and be full with a glass of beer. For my burger, I decided to try one of my boyfriend`s favorites, the A.1. Peppercorn burger. This loaded $10.99 burger has hardwood smoked bacon, melted Pepper-Jack, A.1. Peppercorn Spread, tomatoes and crispy onion straws on an onion bun. Instead of regular fries, I substituted for the sweet potatoes fries for $1.49 extra.
Overall verdict: The guac, salsa & chips are definitely an appetizer my boyfriend and I both enjoyed and we will repurchase again in the future. As far a the burger, I was not a fan of the spread nor impressed with the burger. My conclusion is this is my boyfriend`s favorite but definitely not mine. As for the sweet potato fries, they are boneless but I could not finish them because I was so full. I liked how the fries are more crispy and thinner than the regular fries and would consider substituting again for extra instead of regular fries in the future.
