My mom came to visit me this weekend and she brought me some of her fresh homemade gyoza. These are my favorite! It`s made with pork, carrots, onions, silantro, and shrimp. My mom makes them in a lot of different ingredient combinations, but no matter what she comes up with, I like them all. My mom hardly uses any flavoring in this, she adds a little bit of pepper and her special sauce, but aside from that, the flavor comes mostly from the blend of ingredients.
Gyoza is my favorite! It`s easy for me to quickly fry these up for dinner, and I just cook miso soup on the side. It`s a quick, easy, and delicious meal. My version of fast food I suppose because fried foods are never that good for you.
I am so excited to fry these up for dinner tomorrow! I took this picture to Facebook to my brother because he wanted to backpack around Europe this summer; that ambitious kid. I hope he drools his face off when he sees it! >:) He`s been posting so many pictures of delicious food he`s tried on his travels, I have to get him back, it`s my obligation as a sister, right? :P
Do you like gyoza? If you have siblings and you`ve moved out of your parents house, do you stay in touch and still mess with them just as much as you did when you were living under the same roof? Is it immature or just love? >:)
