If you go to costco you`ll know that they have yummy muffins. My favorite from them are their French Toast Muffins, but they are rare gems. I can only find them once in a blue moon. So I looked online for recipes and found one. I tried out the recipe and it came out to be pretty close. One thing to keep in mind is that you should wait till the muffins completely cool before piping the glaze onto it, otherwise it`ll look like the one in my pics. I was impatience, in a hurry to try it, so I started to pipe it on when it was kinda warm and the glaze started to melt. If I had waited for it to completely cool, I could`ve piped pretty decorations on it. Next time, I`m gonna definitely wait..lol.. Oh and the last pic is the maple glaze that you`re gonna use to drizzle over the muffins. So let`s get started shall we.
1 cup milk
1/2 butter, melted
1 tsp maple flavoring
2 cups flour
3/4 brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Combine the milk, egg, butter, and maple flavoring together. Add in the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Divide the batter into a greased or paper lined 12 cup muffin tin. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool for 10 minutes, poke a few holes in the top and drizzle or dip the tops in the following maple glaze. All the glaze to set up and enjoy!
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp buter, melted
1 Tbsp milk
1/2 Tbsp maple flavoring
Combine all of the ingredients and stir until smooth.
If you use those regular muffin tins, you`ll be able to make 12 muffins. The site where I found the recipe is listed below.
