Hi guys! So a couple of months ago i went to the nail salon in search for a french acrylic nail set (better known as `pink and whites`) and soon discovered that not only does it cost a substantial amount, but getting them filed after a week or two also adds up. I payed $40 for a new set which started lifting after a week, and then $20 to get them filled and to fix the uglyness the nail had developed. I honestly felt stupid leaving the salon after paying that much money for it- but i really love to have my nails done acrylic style!
SO! i did some research and discovered an amazing DIY nail kit at my local Sally`s Beauty Supply store, and was in awe at the possibilities.
This kit contains everything you need for a great acrylic nail set at home! it comes with a mini dvd, which i never learned to play on my computer- but youtube videos on how to do acrylic sets did help me through it!
There is so much material in it for the price that would cost one application at the salon. So far i have 3/4 left of the white powder, and half the pink and clear powder. Take in notice that i`ve done my FULL set twice,a friend`s FULL set, and my mom`s FULL set twice as well and with a refil :) so thats about 5 1/2 applications with half of it left!
I am thrilled to be able to do this at home! the only thing NO ONE is thrilled about, especially my dad, is the smell it leaves behind, much like the one in your local nail salons. But the remedy for this is to do the nails in a well ventilated area!- My first time took me about 3 hours...but as i`ve done them more and more i`ve been able to narrow it down to 2hrs-2hrs15min :P
If you love to have pretty acrylic nails all the time, but hate spending so much money on it- like i do! :P
you have to check this out! (ON SALE at this time too!!! :D)- i`ve added a link in the Source link where you can find the product online, or go to your local Sally`s for purchase :)
Happy shopping everyone!
