I have a confession to make.... I am a skin care junkie. Makeup is great and all but there is nothing that excites me more when it comes to the beauty world than skin care. After all what is a face full of makeup when you have bad skin? Just a face full of makeup. Think of your skin like a canvas. The smoother and clearer it is, the easier the application and flawless appearance of your makeup.
One skin care product I absolutely love are clay masks. Especially when they are green in color. Something about green clay masks makes me feel very retro and glamorous. I`ve used the Queen Helene`s mint julep mask and Lush`s mask of magminty before so I already knew I love the feel of clay masks.
I had been dying to try Freeman`s Facial Clay Mask in Avocado & Oatmeal but I could not find it anywhere. It wasn`t until I went to my local CVS to get new hair dye that I finally spotted this. I got a great deal on it too. It was $3.99 at CVS but it came with a 75 cent coupon which I could use immediately and a rebate form to fill out where I could get the money back I spent on this product. So basically it was a money maker because I will be getting back $3.99 when I only paid $3.25. If you have been wanting to try this mask or the cucumber mask take advantage of this offer before it expires.
Two of the main ingredients this mask contains are Oatmeal and Vitamin E which are really good for your skin. This mask claims to draw out excess oils and dirt, purging your clogged pores while leaving your skin clean and soft. It is really easy to apply. All you have to do is apply this mask all over your face and let it dry. You will feel like you can`t move any of your facial muscles (except your eyes and mouth of course) while having this mask on. After 30 minutes or so rinse with warm water.
I have sensitive skin and this mask did not irritate my skin at all. My face felt refreshed and really clean. And to my surprise my pores looked smaller. Not that they were super large before but they did decrease in size. So if the Queen Julep mask breaks you out, give this mask a try. My skin was a tad bit more sensitive to the Queen Helene mask but not to this one.
For $4 this product is super cheap and super effective. Even it does not ending up working out for you, you will only be out $4. Compared to other masks out there this one is a steal.
Have you ever tried this mask? What are your thoughts?
