Frankenweenie - Movie Review

Hi everyone!
Today I finally saw the fantasy movie Frankenweenie by Tim Burton. I say finally because I almost went to see it when it was on the movies but I think I was sick and I ended up not going. I usually like Tim Burtons movies, well, at least those who arent a musical, because Im not a fan of musicals Anyway, this is a remake of a Tim Burtons movie with the same name from 1984. This movie is nominated to an Academy Award and a BAFTA for Best Animated Picture and it was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
Victor Frankenstein is a lonely but very intelligent boy whose only friend is his dog, Sparky, until one day, Sparky gets hit by a car and dies. Victor is really depressed and, inspired by his science teacher that demonstrates to the class the effect of electricity on a dead frog, Victor builds a laboratory in his attic, he digs up Sparky and brings him to the attic and tries to bring his dog back to life with a lightning.
This is a black and white animated movie and it was a nice movie to see.
However, I admit I cried 1 or 2 times when it reminded me of how I felt when my pet died I wish I could bring her back to life but, well, thats just impossible.
The dogs sounds are very well made.
The dog is so cute though Victors classmates are a bit creepy, especially Edgar and the weird blond girl.
I give this movie a 7 out of 10 (7/10).
