Hi everyone. The picture, I got from the sourcelink provided below. But this recipe is my own.
Ok, so flautas is definitely a favorite in the whole "mexican food" group of foods. It`s very simple, inexpensive and oh so delish!
1.) Corn tortillas.
2.) Chicken and/or ham.
3.) Vegetable oil.
4.) Sour cream.
5.) Queso fresco.
6.) Some lettuce.
7.) Home made chile sauce (optional for additional flavor).
Start by rolling up warmed up tortillas with the chicken or ham. Pass a toothpick through it to keep it in place.
Start dicing up some lettuce and some tomato (tomato is optional). Set aside.
In a hot pan, add some vegetable oil, put in the little rolled up flautas and leave in there til golden brown all around.
Pull out on a napkin to drain the oil. When cooled off a bit and drained some of the oil, set the flautas on to your plate, add the sour cream on top, lettuce, tomato, and queso fresco. I actually also add some home made hot salsa to them. Enjoy!
